Have you heard the frightfully fun news? The popular Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is back for another spook-tacular season at Roger Williams Park Zoo (RWP Zoo)! This annual favorite attracts guests from all over New England eager to witness a unique and dazzling form of artistry.
The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular features thousands of intricately carved, illuminated pumpkins displayed in captivating ways along the Zoo’s trail. Each year’s show has a different theme and features corresponding jack-o-lanterns. This year’s theme, “Jack-O-Lanterns from A to Z,” has pumpkins arranged in alphabetical order according to design and celebrates important moments from history, pop culture, and important figures. Repeat guests will be delighted to see some familiar faces and displays, including the show’s stunning grand finale, the Laughing Tree.
As a partner of RWP Zoo through our Charity by Design division, we have two bangles, the Monkey and Ode to the Owl, which benefit the Zoo’s environmental education efforts. In celebration of our partnership, RWP Zoo had a special jack-o-lantern with our most popular symbol, the Path of Life, carved for this year’s show! Be sure to look for it at the very end of the trail near the guest log book, a fitting reminder of life’s twists and turns as you travel your own meaningful path.
